seems simple enough, doesn't it?
I go on and on about how everything is a work-in-progress and how it’s okay for things to be “halfway homemade”. Things just take as long as they take, why rush? Right?
As it turns out, buying a house and trying to set it up from scratch1 has shown me just how little patience I can have for something being a work-in-progress. It’s one thing to put a half-knitted vest away into a basket, but another when your entire living and working space (we both work from our home) feels a bit like a half-knitted vest where the mistakes glare at you but you’re too tired to rip them out.
When we moved in late last year, we knew there were a few things we had to do right away to feel at least somewhat settled.
