My final year of college was when I started knitting in earnest. Thanks to my mom’s lessons at age 11, and all those DIY blogs cropping up in the 2010s, I felt confident enough to start knitting things I could wear. One of the things I made was a cabled headband - a project I was surprised I could accomplish with my limited skill set (as pictured on my lovely, willing roommate/model/photographer, lizzie!)

I actually haven’t attempted anything cabled since then. I’ve been, frankly, intimidated by the idea of making an entire-ass garment with cables. But as it turns out (like with most knitting/making), once you practice, it’s not all that hard, just something you have to pay careful attention to.
