It’s been an intense cold & flu season around town. It finally came for me, so I’ve been resting and reflecting. I’ll keep it brief — here are some pictures of my favorite moments from the past couple of months!
Back in January, we got to take a very special trip with Josh’s family to Kauai & this sunrise pic of our sleepy faces just makes me smile <3
On our way home, we got to stop in CA to see my family! Baby Bea had grown so much since we last saw her in early Dec. <3 <3 <3
Goofin out on the ice at Lake Morey with my dears Josh & Nicole on a sunny, but windy day. This year we took the risk of concussion more seriously & got helmets. Clashes with my whole sheepskin collar aesthetic, but it’s worth it, I think?
I am perpetually inspired by this group of people with whom I get to sing (missing Dana!). We’re called “Dream Choir” and this was our Valentine’s Day show. This is a still from a video my dear friend Rick took. Norma Jean made our headpieces (real flowers, y’all!) and I sewed a bunch of bows to my dress (a dress I’ve coveted since 2018 & acquired through a trade last month!) & embroidered hearts onto the sides of my long socks (because of course I did).
I got to play shopkeep with my dear & deeply talented friend, Rachel of Meadowfed Lamb at the New England Farm & Fiber Festival, and I had so much fun getting to talk about how amazing she is to everyone and help them choose colors for their knitting projects — 10/10 experience, even in -9* setup temps!
To my great delight, the snow really stuck around this year! I took the opportunity to clean our wool rugs (L), and make a “snow couch” (R). It gets perfect sun for about 1 hour per day, which is when you can find me drinking a dandelion latte and almost forgetting the temps are sub 20*, lol.
If you’re in the WMass area, be sure to make it to a Sugar Shack for one of my favorite signs of spring in New England — the smell of evaporating maple sap 🍁 🥞 🤤! Hope you and yours are staying well & warm, especially if you’re in the path of this possible blizzard! xx
So fun to see a close up of your beautiful faces!!!! Miss you love you
Omg the singing group looks so fun!!!! Love your outfits. The New England fiber festival sounds divine - going to check out your friends shop now!!
