We’re here, officially, in Massachusetts. While that still does not feel true, it is, and the early signs of summer (so foreign to this Californian) are alive a well.
Yesterday was the first rain I’ve experienced since arriving. With any luck, a thunderstorm soon (for that special kind of childlike awe).
Everything is so green, the birds so lively, the smell of new flora (the pollen, oohwee!) so present. There’s a lot to adjust to in this new life we’re starting, but I appreciate these moments of embodiment - the way this climate commands your attention.
